What is Connection Pooling

Connection open and close is very time consuming activity specially if we are on web.So why not we should adopt a mechanism to prepare same type of connection instance ahead of time in pool.So it will provide resources for the connection by a pool of available connections.This is basically what we say Connection Polling.
